Effect of STAT signaling pathway on bronchial asthma and the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine intervention were reviewed.STAT1 can activate intercellular adhesion molecules, and increase airway inflammation; The dimer formed by activated STAT2 and phosphorylated STAT1 can affect the differentiation of helper T lymphocyte 2 (Th2) cells, induce the secretion of immunoglobulin E (IgE) and inflammatory cell infiltration, leading to asthma;STAT3 can induce the immune response of interleukin-6 (IL-6),promote the differentiation of helper T lymphocyte 17 (Th17),and cause the inflammatory response;Phosphorylated STAT4 can induce the expression of corresponding transcription factors of regulatory T cells (Treg)and antagonize the differentiation of Th17 cells;Activated STAT5 can induce the differentiation and proliferation of eosinophils (EOS),inhibit EOS apoptosis, and increase EOS production during the attack of asthma;STAT6 can participate in the occurrence and development of asthma by influencing the immune response of Th2 cells.Traditional Chinese medicine can alleviate asthma symptoms, airway inflammation and airway remodeling by regulating Janus kinase / signal transduction and activator of transcription (JAK / STAT)related signal pathway.
