Through literature analysis, we organized the application of moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of “seasonal epidemic febrile diseases” and heat syndromes. According to the characteristics of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), we believe that moxibustion can play a preventive and therapeutic role owning to its disinfection, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-virus and immune response regulation effects. Fumigation moxibustion and gentle moxibustion can also be adopted for mild and medium cases and convalescent patients.
