Based on the theory of “yang stagnation and blood stasis”, the involvement of apoptosis and mitochondrial energy metabolism through the mTOR signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of sick sinus syndrome and the main mechanism of treating sick sinus syndrome with Tongyang Huoxue (activating yang to promote blood circulation) prescription are explained by taking Professor Liu Zhiming’s academic idea of treating sick sinus syndrome from the angle of “yang stagnation and blood stasis” as the entry point.
