Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy in treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy in young people with needle knife loosening therapy at positive reaction points at fixed-point rotating position. MethodsSixty young patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were randomly assigned into treatment group and control group, 30 patients in each group. The treatment group was treated with needle knife loosening therapy at positive reaction points at fixed-point rotating position, while the control group was treated with needle knife loosening therapy at conventional position. The two groups were treated for 10 days. The clinical efficacy was observed and the changes in scores of symptoms and signs and pain VAS score were compared. Results:①The total effective rate was 90.00% and 86.67% in the treatment group and the control group, respectively. There was no significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups (P>0.05). ②After 5 and 10 days of treatment, the scores of symptoms and signs were higher in the treatment group than in the control group, and the pain VAS score was lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The overall efficacy of needle knife loosening therapy at fixed-point rotating position in young patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy is comparable with that of therapy at conventional position, but this new method has easy-to-find needle insertion point, shallow needle insertion and high safety, and it causes less damage to normal soft tissues, more easily accepted by patients.
