This paper explores the clinical experience of Professor Wu Shentao in the treatment of painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy(limb pain of diabetes). The four ideas of “Bo(extensiveness), Jing(precision), Qi(singularity) and Shen(caution)” have been summarized in his treatment of the disease based on following five syndromes: blood deficiency and cold stagnation, turbid phlegm obstructing meridian, retention of turbidity and toxicity and collateral stasis, qi deficiency and blood stasis, and deficiency of both qi and yin and overstrain of governor vessel. And one proven case is presented.
