Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint massage in promoting gastrointestinal function recovery after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods100 patients after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer were randomly assigned into treatment group and control group, 50 patients in each group. Both groups were given routine post-operative treatment and the treatment group received acupoint massage (Neiguan, Zusanli and Hegu) in addition. After intervention for 5 days, changes in the levels of gastrointestinal hormones [gastrin (GAS), motilin (MOT)] and gastrointestinal symptom scores were compared, and the recovery time of bowel sounds, the first time of anal exhaust, the first time of defecation and the time of general diet were observed in the groups. Results:①=1\*GB3After 5 days of intervention, the serum levels of GAS and MOT increased in both groups compared to those before intervention (P<0.05), and they were higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). ②After 5 days of intervention, the scores of abdominal distension, belching, gastric burning, nausea and vomiting decreased in both groups compared to those before intervention (P<0.05) and they were lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). ③=3\*GB3The recovery time of bowel sounds, the first time of anal exhaust, the first time of defecation and the time of general diet were earlier in treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Acupoint massage promotes the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.
