Objective:To study the improvement in quality standard of Scutellariae Radix slices using the drug prepared from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi in the production place as the study subject. MethodsThe content of baicalin, wogonoside, baicalein, wogonin and oroxylin A was determined in 10 batches of samples using a method established with HPLC, and the content of moisture, total ash and extracts was also determined.  Results:The method for content determination was simple, accurate and reproducible, and there were slight differences in the content of moisture, total ash and extracts among different batches of samples.  Conclusion:A relatively perfect quality standard has been established for baicalus scutellariae slices, which is considerably improved compared to the standard in Chinese Pharmacopoeia of the 2015 edition, and can be used to effectively control the quality of the slices.
