Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Xuanfei Qingying Formula combined with routine therapy of western medicine in the treatment of acute mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children. Methods62 children patients with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia were randomly divided into the treatment group (32 cases) and control group (30 cases). The control group was treated with routine therapy of western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with Xuanfei Qingying Formula based on the treatment for control group, with a treatment course of 7 days and follow-up of 10 days. The clinical efficacy was observed, the time of lesion complete absorption that displayed in chest X-ray, the defervescence time, the disappearance time of cough, moist rales and wheezing rales were compared.  Results:①The total effective rates were 96.9% in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group respectively, and the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was obviously better than that of the control group (P<0.05). ②During the trial, the time of lesion complete absorption, the defervescence time, the disappearance time of cough, moist rales and wheezing rales in the treatment group were all significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05).  Conclusion:Xuanfei Qingying Formula combined with routine therapy of western medicine in the treatment of acute mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children can significantly enhance the efficacy, alleviate the clinical symptoms and signs and shorten the course of illness.
