This paper introduces Professor Liu Jianqiu’s experience in treating asthma of remission period with acupoint application of Fuxue Huatan Ointment. Through the analysis on the etiology and pathogenesis of asthma in remission period,it is considered that phlegm abundance due to yang deficiency is the root cause of onset of asthma in the remission period. Based on the theory of “winter disease treated in summer”,the acupoint application of Fuxue Huatan Ointment shows the efficacy of warming yang and benefiting qi,relieving cough and resolving phlegm,which reflects from compatibility analysis,modern pharmacology and acupoint selection.
