Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Bufei Huatan Yishen Quyu Recipe in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)in stable stage and its effects on serum level of D-Dimer. Methods80 COPD patients in stable stage were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with the conventional therapy of western medicine,and the treatment group was treated with Bufei Huatan Yishen Quyu Recipe based on the treatment for the control group. The changes on Chinese medical syndrome score,pulmonary function indexes and serum level of D-Dimer(D-D)were observed and compared.  Results:①Finally 75 cases completed the trial,among 39 cases in the treatment group and 36 cases in the control group. ②Compared with treatment before,the Chinese medical syndrome score was obviously decreased in both groups after treatment(P,<,0.05). The difference of Chinese medical syndrome score between treatment before and after in the treatment group was greater than that in the control group(P,<,0.05). ③In both groups,there were statistically significant differences on the levels of FVC and FEV,1,(%)between treatment before and after(P,<,0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference on the level of FEV,1, between treatment before and after(P,>,0.05). There were no statistically significant differences on the levels of pulmonary function indexes between the two groups(P,>,0.05). ④Compared with treatment before,the D-D level was obviously decreased in the treatment group after treatment(P,<,0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference on the D-D level in the control group between treatment before and after(P,>,0.05). The difference of D-D level between treatment before and after in the treatment group was greater than that in the control group(P,<,0.05).  Conclusion:Bufei Huatan Yishen Quyu Recipe can obviously relieve the clinical symptoms of COPD patients in stable stage,decrease the serum level of D-Dimer and thus alleviate the chronic inflammatory state of COPD and improve the prognosis.
