This article was divided into five parts to discuss the academic achievements of Chen Deqiu, a traditional Chinese medicine doctor in Qing Dynasty: paying high attention to spleen and stomach as same as Li Dongyuan and expressing his own elucidation, learning based on books and teachers while rooted in linking up, prescribing after identified the disease by distinguishing the symptoms with medical theories, incorporated various theories and extracted essence while innovated the theory flexibly, prescribing followed the original while created new prescriptions by adding and reducing herbs.
