This paper briefly discusses the relationship between elongated needle therapy for qi regulation and circular motion of qi movement in zang-fu viscera. Elongated needle can make deeply needling due to the long needle,which take the advantages of long needle and filiform needle in combination. The key of elongated needle therapy lies in the regulation of qi. The elongated needle therapy for qi regulation emphasizes the spleen and stomach,and regulates the liver and lung. It can disperse lung qi in upper jiao,invigorate the spleen and regulate the stomach in middle jiao,and tonify the kidney and promote excretion in lower jiao,which strengthen the spleen and stomach(as circular axis)and harmonize the liver and lung(as circular wheel),and maintain the proper circular motion of qi movement in zang-fu viscera.
