This paper introduces Professor Lu Jin’gen’s clinical experience in the treatment of diarrhea-related diseases, such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, proctitis, irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea, ileocecal inflammation, radiation enteritis and so on. It is considered that the pathogenesis is complicated with numerous related factors. He puts forward some treatment principles,such as clearing heat and cooling blood,benefiting qi and nourishing yin,regulating qi-flowing for dredging collateral,softening liver and strengthening spleen and so on. Taken the concept of holism as the core in treatment,he proposes the treatments according to different disease and different stage for all kinds of diarrhea. And one proven case is presented.
