This paper introduced Professor Shi Qi’s thinking and tentative ideas about the construction and development of internal medicine of orthopaedics of traditional Chinese medicine,including the connotation,theoretical system,disease treatment methods and significance. He considers that it is not only feasible and necessary but also more urgent for the establishment and development of internal medicine of orthopaedics of traditional Chinese medicine with the characteristics of the times,which could make the contents of orthopedics and traumatology of Chinese medicine more abundant and complete on the original basis,and better guide the clinical practice of orthopedics and traumatology of Chinese medicine.
