This paper introduced Professor Wang Yiqin’s medication characteristics in the treatment ofchildhood asthma. She considers that the main internal factors of this disease are weak body natural endowment,deficiency and impairment of lung,spleen and kidney,phlegm fluid retained in lung and intermingled phlegm and blood stasis,combined with the contact of inducement including exogenous pathogenic factors,diet,emotion and fatigue,which present lung impairment of diffusion and purification and adverse ascending of lung qi as the manifestations and intermingled phlegm and blood stasis as the root cause. In the treatment,the therapy of alleviating asthma,relieving dyspnea and removing phlegm can be used to ease the manifestations,and the therapy of consolidating body resistance,invigorating spleen and benefiting lung can be used to treat the root cause. She makes good use of classical prescriptions,herbal paste and couplet medicines.
