Objective:To observe the influence of oblique pulling method on soft tissue tension in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH). Methods120 patients were randomly divided into the group A(treatment with oblique pulling method on normal side),group B(treatment with oblique pulling method on affected side),group C(treatment with oblique pulling method on normal and affected sides)and group D(treatment without oblique pulling method). And the corresponding manipulation therapy was given in each group. The displacement values of soft tissue tension in lumbar normal and affected sides were detected and compared before and after treatment by soft tissue tension test system. Results:After the different intervention, the displacement values of soft tissue tension in normal and affected sides all showed the increasing tread in the four groups. Compared with treatment before, the displacement values of soft tissue tension in normal and affected sides were increased in group A,B and C after treatment, and the displacement value of soft tissue tension in affected sides was increased in group D after treatment(P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences on the displacement values of soft tissue tension between group B or C and group D after treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion:The tuina therapy of oblique pulling method can significantly improve the lumbar soft tissue tension in patients with lumbar disc herniation.
