This paper discusses the therapy and syndromes of frequent urination due to depression syndrome.Panic and worry can lead to dribbling urination,excessive anxiety can induce frequent urination,and liver qi depression can cause insomnia,frequent urination. The pathogenesis mainly include two categories,one is deficiency of heart qi, deficiency of heart qi and kidney qi(or disharmony between heart and kidney),or heart fire moving downward to intestine,and the other is stagnation of liver qi or transforming into fire. Frequent urination due to depression syndrome shows the dominant or recessive clinical manifestations of depression syndrome,and should pay attention to the treatments based on relieving depression,including dispersing stagnated liver qi for relieving qi stagnation,regulating qi flowing for removing phlegm,clearing liver fire,nourishing heart and clearing heart fire for tranquillization,harmonizing the interaction of heart and kidney. The neural frequency of urination, mental frequency of urination, psychogenic frequency of urination in modern medicine are all within the category of frequent urination due to depression syndrome.
