Objective:To observe the effects of Fuzheng Guben RecipeⅠon the immune function and side reactions of chemotherapy in patients of advanced non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)with syndrome of lung and spleen deficiency. Methods 60 patients with NSCLC were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional chemotherapy,and the treatment group was treated with Fuzheng Guben RecipeⅠbased on the treatment for the control group. The treatment course was 12 weeks in the control group and 13 weeks in the treatment group. The toxic and side reactions induced by chemotherapy were observed,the changes of serum levels of T cell subsets (CD3,+,CD4,+,CD8,+,) and immune cytokines (IFN-γ,IL-10) were compared.  Results: ①After treatment,there were statistically significant differences on the levels of CD3,+,CD4,+,CD4,+,/CD8,+,CD4,+,CD25,+,Treg between the two groups,the improvement on the levels of T cell subsets in the treatment group was obviously better than that in the control group(P,<,0.05). ②Compared with the control group after treatment,the IFN-γ level was significantly increased in the treatment group,while the IL-10 level was significantly decreased(P,<,0.05). ③Compared with the control group after treatment,the reactions of nausea and vomiting,leukopenia and liver injury were significantly improved in the treatment group(P,<,0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference on the grade of kidney injury between the two groups(P,>,0.05). The incidence rates of toxic and side reactions including nausea and vomiting,leukopenia and liver injury in the treatment group were all obviously lower than those in the control group(P,<,0.05).  Conclusion: Fuzheng Guben RecipeⅠ can significantly improve the immune function in patients of advanced non small cell lung cancer with syndrome of lung and spleen deficiency,alleviate the toxic and side reactions of chemotherapy.
