Objective:To observe the effects of moxibustion at Qihai(CV6)and Guanyuan(CV4) acupoints on behavior and immune systems of chronic fatigue rats. Methods SD rats were randomly and equally divided into the normal control group, model control group and moxibustion group. Except the normal control group, rat model of chronic fatigue was established in the other groups by composite stress method. The moxibustion group was treated with moxibustion at Qihai and Guanyuan acupoints after modeling. The behavior(experiments of swimming exhaustion and rat tail suspension)of rats in each group were observed before and after modeling and after moxibustion intervention. After moxibustion intervention, the serum immunological indexes(IgA,IgM,IgG,C3,C4)of rats in each group were detected and compared. Results: Compared with the normal control group after modeling, the swimming time of exhaustion was decreased and the suspension time of rat tail was increased in the model control group and moxibustion group(P<0.05). Compared with the model control group after moxibustion intervention, the swimming time of exhaustion was increased and the suspension time of rat tail was decreased in the moxibustion group, and the levels of immunological indexes(IgA,IgM,IgG,C3,C4)were significantly increased(P<0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion at Qihai and Guanyuan acupoints show significant effects on improving chronic fatigue.
