This paper introduced Yao Naizhong’s experience in treating chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura with therapy of warming kidney and invigorating essence. Professor Yao considers that repeated hemorrhage is only the appearance of chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura,and the main pathogenesis is deficiency of kidney essence and kidney yang as root cause and blood stasis stagnation as manifestation,which belongs to the syndrome of asthenia in origin and pathogenic factors in superficiality.This disease locates in the kidney and the treatment should base on kidney. He emphasizes warming and recuperating kidney yang,strengthening and nourishing marrow and essence combined with promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis and hemostasis.
