This paper introduced Professor Xu’s experience in treating lung cancer with ancient prescriptions. He proposes the therapy of tonifying kidney for marrow production in the treatment of myelo suppression,the therapy of benefiting qi for nourishing essence and detoxification for resolving stasis in the treatment of advanced lung cancer and other academic viewpoints. He summarizes the application of different prescriptions in the treatment of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in late period and distant metastasis of lung cancer. He emphasizes nursing and protecting lung,spleen and kidney,and strengthening the foundation of acquired constitution.
