Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Taijiquan exercise combined with acupuncture in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. MethodsTotally 92 cases of knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group,46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with acupuncture, and the treatment group was treated with acupuncture and Taijiquan exercise, with a course of one month. The clinical efficacy was observed, the scores of Western Ontario and McMaster University (WOMAC) Osteoarthritis Index and the walking time for 10 meters were compared. Results:①The total effective rate was 93.48% in the treatment group and 73.91% in the control group, the clinical efficacy of the treatment was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05). ②For the comparison between groups after treatment, the differences on the scores of knee pain, stiffness, functional limitation were statistically significant(P<0.05). ③For the comparison between groups after treatment, the walking time for 10 meters in the treatment group was significantly less than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Taijiquan exercise combined with acupuncture can be used in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which can effectively relieve the knee pain, stiffness and movement limitation, improve the walking ability.
