This paper discussed the clinical experience of Professor He Xinhui in treating spleen and stomach diseases. She considers the disorder of ascending and descending in spleen or stomach caused by various factors as the basic pathogenesis of this disease. She puts forward the viewpoint that multifarious diseases of spleen and stomach should be treated with reconciliation method,which means regulating ascending-descending,qi-blood,cold-heat,deficiency-excess to improve the discord and paying attention to the liver regulation to achieve spleen-stomach harmony and recover middle-jiao to “Zhonghe”status according to the physiological properties of spleen and stomach. Hewei Qinghua Decoction is made and used in the treatment of chronic gastritis,which modified according to the syndrome. Two proven cases were presented.
