This paper introduced Li Yongmei’s experience in treating chloasma with herbal pastes. She considers that the incidence of this disease is associated with liver,spleen and kidney. The generation and transformation of qi and blood lack of source and can not up to the surface,which is considered as the main pathogenesis. Through the differentiation and treatment with herbal pastes,the generation and transformation of qi and blood are ordered and the yin and yang in viscera are balanced in order to nourish facial appearance and remove ecchymoses. One proven case was presented.
