Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of oral medication of Yiqi Qingli Huayu Prescription combined with footbath of Huayu Jiangzhuo Prescription in the treatment of chronic kidney disease of kidney-spleen deficiency. MethodsSeventy-four cases of chronic kidney disease with kidney-spleen deficiency were randomly divided into the control group(34 cases)and treatment group(40 cases). Both groups were received the conventional treatment of western medicine,the treatment group was treated with oral medication of Yiqi Qingli Huayu Prescription combined with footbath of Huayu Jiangzhuo Prescription additionally,with a course of 2 months. The clinical efficacy in both groups were observed,as well as the changes of TCM syndrome scores and renal function before and after the treatment.  Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 85.0 %, and the total effective rate of the control group was 55.9%. The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group were significantly decreased compared with the treatment before(P<0.05),and the scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the levels of serum creatinine,urea nitrogen and urinary protein in both groups were decreased compared with the treatment before(P<0.05,P<0.01),and the glomerular filtration rate was increased compared with the treatment before(P<0.05). The effects of the treatment group on improving the renal function indexes were better than those of the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).  Conclusion: Oral medication of Yiqi Qingli Huayu Prescription combined with footbath of Huayu Jiangzhuo Prescription can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and renal function of patients with chronic kidney disease.
