This paper initially analyzed the guidance of theory of twelve meridians branch in clinical acupuncture. The twelve meridians all have its main vein and branches, which also belong to the meridians and can be used in guiding the clinical practice. Because the branches can reach the part that the main vein not touch, clinical diagnosis and treatment should pay attention to the cycle routes of the branches and the acupoints located in the branches so as to obtain better effect.
