Objective:To observe the effects of “Shenling Baizhu Powder” on serum gastrointestinal hormones and electrogastrogram in children with functional dyspepsia of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation. MethodsOne hundred and twenty subjects were divided into the observation group and control group, 60 cases in each group. The control group was given Mosapride, and the observation group was given “Shenling Baizhu Powder” and Mosapride, with a course of two weeks. The changes of serum motilin(MTL), neuropeptide Y(NPY)5-serotonin(5-HT) and electrogastrogram were observed before and after treatment in both groups.  Results:①After treatment, in both groups, the levels of NPY and MTL increased(P<0.05) and 5-HT decreased (P<0.05), with more significant improvement in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05). ②After treatment, the electrogastrogram in gastric corpus and antrum were all improved in both groups(P<0.05), with more significant improvement in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).  Conclusion:“Shenling Baizhu Powder” acts to treat functional dyspepsia of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation by improving gastrointestinal motility.
