Discussed the syndrome and treatment of Guizhi(cassia twigin)in Prescriptions of Intergrating Chinese and Western Medicine combined with the exploration of the clinical application from the classic original texts in Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases and Shennong’s Classic of Materia Medica,this paper introduced Zhang Xichun’s experience on the application of Guizhi(cassia twigin)from 3 aspects of its effects as expelling pathogenic factors from muscles and keeping ying and wei qi in balance,ascending and descending of functional activity of qi,warming and activating meridian and blood vessels.
