Objective:To observe the preventive effects of “Zifei Sanjie Decoction” on castrate resistant prostate cancer(CRPC). MethodsTotal 110 subjects with non-CRPC were randomized into two group:the control group in which 55 cases were treated with castration and endocrine therapy,and the treatment group in which 55 cases were treated with “Zifei Sanjie Decoction” additionally, with a course of 3 months. At the end of follow up, the incidence of castration resistance, hematuria and bone metastases, and terminal events were observed, the doubling of prostate specific antigen (PSA) was compared.  Results:①Up to March 2016,the follow up time for all patients ranged from 12~36 months. Median time was 24 months. ②The incidence of CRPC in the treatment group and control group were 10.91% and 69.09% respectively, the difference was statistically significant, and the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). ③There were statistically significant differences in the doubling of PSA,hematuria and bone metastases and terminal events between two groups,and those in treatment group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05).  Conclusion:“Zifei Sanjie Decoction” could inhibit the CRPC to a certain extent and decrease the hematuria and bone metastasis, which improve the life quality of patients and prolong the survival time.
