Objective:To observe the effect of JinFuKang Decoction(JFK) on clearing the “hidden pathogen”—circulating tumor cells(CTC) in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and verify the hypothesis that JFK prevent metastasis through intervening CTC. MethodsThe CTC cell line from peripheral blood in patients with NSCLC were enriched and cultivated, then the CTC cells were intervened by JFK. The Cell proliferation and clone formation were detected by cell counting kit -8 (CCK-8). The Cell apoptosis and cycle were detected by flow cytometry and confocal laser scanning technique. Results:The CTC cell proliferation was significantly inhibited by JFK in time-dependent and concentration- dependent manner. The clone formation of CTC cell was significantly inhibited by JFK in a dose-dependent manner(P<0.05). JFK effectively induced the apoptosis of CTC cells (P<0.01); the CTC cell proliferation was blocked in the S phase in JFK group with high concentration(P<0.05). Conclusion:JFK could inhibit the CTC in patients with NSCLC, which indicated that interventing CTC may be the mechanism of JFK on prevention and treatment of the recurrence and metastasis in NSCLC.
