Objective:To investigate the effect of Chinese Herbal Fumigant of “Cuyu Xunxi Formula” on wound healing in the early stage of rats and the mechanism of promoting healing based on experiment. Methods The whole layer skin defection model was established in Wistar rats. The rats were randomly divided into the following groups:Cuyu Xunxi Formula group, control group (rivanol), and blank control group (0.9% saline). The condition of wounds was observed. VEGF, VEGFR-1 VEGFR-2 expression in wound tissue was detected by Western blot, and expression of serum TNF-α and IL-6 was detected by ELISA. Results: The healing time had no significant difference between Cuyu Xunxi formula group and control group, and was shorter than the blank control group. There was no statistical significance of the observation indexes on the third day after operation (P>0.05). The healing rate, granulation growth and serum TNF-α, IL-6 lever in Cuyu Xunxi Formula group were better than those of the blank control group on the seventh day and fifteenth day (P<0.05). On the seventh day, the wound healing rate in Cuyu Xunxi Formula group was higher than that in control group, and there was no significant difference in VEGF, VEGFR-1 AND VEGFR-2 among all groups. Conclusion:The pathogenesis of early wound based on exuberance of heat-toxin and blood-stasis obstruction, Cuyu Xunxi Formula could obviously inhibit the expression of inflammatory factor TNF-α and IL-6 of early wound and promote wound healing.
