Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of “Zhisou Powder” and Symbicort Turbuhaler in the treatment of cough variant asthma(CVA). MethodsFifty subjects were randomized into control group and treatment group, 25 cases in each group. Control group was treated by Symbicort Turbuhaler, and treatment group was treated by Symbicort Turbuhaler and “Zhisou Powder”, with a course of 4 weeks. The main symptoms and lung function were observed before and after treatment.  Results:After treatment, the scores of main symptoms such as cough and expectoration and total scores were reduced in both groups(P,<,0.05), with lower scores in the treatment group than in the control group(P,<,0.05); after treatment, the lung functions(FEV,1, PEF variation rates) were improved strikingly in both groups(P,<,0.05), with more significant improvement in the treatment group than in the control group(P,<,0.05).  Conclusion:“Zhisou Powder” with Symbicort Turbuhaler is effective to improve the clinical symptoms and lung function in the treatment of CVA.
