Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of “Pinggan Huoxue Decoction” in treating liver-depression and blood-stasis insomnia accompanied by hypomnesis. MethodsSeventy-two subjects were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 36 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Wuling Capsule, and treatment group was added with “Pinggan Huoxue Decoction”, with the course of 12 weeks. The improvement of the sleep were decided by SPIEGEL scale score and assessed by P300 changes to contrast.  Results:After treatment, SPIEGEL scale score of the two groups were reduced(P<0.05), and the treatment group was lower than the control group (P<0.05); “Pinggan Huoxue Decoction” exhibits a distinguish efficacy on P300 after the treatment than before in treatment group(P<0.01), and the treatment was shorter than the control group(P<0.05).  Conclusion:“Pinggan Huoxue Decoction” has an advantage in improving memory and sleep in the treatment of insomnia.
