Objective:This study designed to observe the analgesic effect of total flavonoids of Rhizoma Arisaematis nanogel on Walker256 induced bone cancer pain model, and explore the analgesic mechanism Methods:Female SD rats were randomly divided into five groups:blank group, sham operation group,Rhizoma Arisaematis group and zoledronic acid group, 9 in each group. Series of indexes were observed including mechanical thresholds, thermal thresholds, dynamic weight bearing ability together with bone HE stain and bone radiology Results:Indicated that rat model of hyperalgesia and allodynia was achieved after intra-tibial injection of Walker 256 cells. The thermal thresholds and dynamic weight bearing ability of control rats and bone caner rats were significant different (P<0.05). However difference of mechanical thresholds between control rats and bone cancer rats was not remarkable (P>0.05). Furthermore,Trabecular number in Rhizoma Arisaematis group and zoledronic acid group was highly increased compared with the control group Conclusion:Total flavonoids of Rhizoma Arisaematis nanogel may have the analgesic effect in the development of bone cancer, and this finding might provide a new analgesic strategy for reducing cancer pain.
