Objective:To study the acute toxicity of “Kushen Gel” on single dose in rats  Methods:Twenty female SD rats were randomized into observation group and control group(10 rats in each group), and respectively given “Kushen Gel” and matrix via vagina, twice a day for one day. In the following 14 days, the general conditions, body weight, amount of foot intake and body temperature of the rats in the two groups were observed; and such organs as vagina were observed on the fifteenth day  Results:The general conditions of the two groups were normal; the body weight, amount of foot intake and body temperature of the rats in the two groups were of no difference(P>0.05); no abnormal changes were found in internal organs  Conclusion:Intravaginal administration of “Kushen Gel” is safe.
