This paper introduces Professor Zhou’s experience in treating Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia. It is viewed that asthenia in the root and excess in the branch is the significant causes of Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemiaw. Asthenia in the root indicates that “evil toxin stagnating in bone marrow”, and excess in the branch indicates that “deficiency of liver and spleen”. Tonifying liver and kidney for root and clearing evil toxin for the branch are the therapeutic principles. Eliminating wind to dredge collaterals and invigorating blood circulation to remove stasis should be combined with for the treatment of this disease.
