Objective: To observed the clinical efficacy of “Lidan Decoction” and western medicine in treating intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy Methods: Seventy-four pregnancy cases with intrahepatic cholestasis were randomized into treatment group and control group, with 37 cases in each group. Control group was treated the western medicine with liver protection effect orally, and treated group was treated with “Lidan Decoction” additionally, with the course of 14 days. The total bile acid, liver function (levels of TBIL, DBIL, IBIL, AST and ALT) and adverse pregnancy outcomes were observed Results: ① There were statistical differences in total bile acid, liver function (TBIL, DBIL, IBIL, AST and ALT) in both group between before and after treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, there were statistical differences in total bile acid, liver function (TBIL, DBIL, IBIL, AST and ALT) between the two groups (P<0.05). ②The adverse pregnancy outcome rate was 27.03% in the control group and was 10.81% in the treatment group, with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05) Conclusion: Combined“Lidan Decoction” and western medicine can improve the liver damage and reduce the adverse outcome rate in pregnant women with intrahepatic cholestasis.
