Objective: To observe the effect of massage combined with conventional western treatment on children with rotavirus enteritis Methods: Seventy children with rotavirus enteritis were randomized into the treatment group (35 cases) and control group (35 cases). All the children were treated with montmorillonite powder and combined bacillus subtilis and enterococcus faecium granules with multivitamines, and took orally rehydration salt to prevent dehydration; children in the treatment group were treated with massage addtionally. After 3 days of treatment, the clinical effect was observed and the rotavirus enteritis in the stool was tested Results: The total clinical effective rates of treatment group and control group were 97.1% and 85.7% respectively, and the effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0.01). The rotavirus negative conversion rates of treatment group and control group were 45.7% and 14.3% respectively, and the rotavirus negative conversion rate of treatment group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.01) Conclusion: The intervention of massage on the basis of conventional therapy in treating children with rotavirus enteritis can enhance the clinical efficiency and increase the rotavirus negative conversion rate.
