Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of western routine treatment and Chinese liver-protection exercises for the treatment of liver fibrosis following chronic hepatitis B  Methods: Two hundred and thirty-eight cases were randomized into treatment group (120 cases) and control group (118 cases). Both groups were treated with western routine therapeutic regimen, and treatment group was added with Chinese liver-protection exercises, with the course of 6 months. The clinical efficacy, indexes of liver function and hepatic fibrosis were observed  Results: The total effective rate was 88.3% in the treatment group and 71.2% in the control group, the comprehensive clinical efficacy in the treatment group was superior to the control group (P<0.05). In both groups, there were significant differences in the levels of ALT, AST, TBIL and Alb between before and after treatment (P<0.05); after treatment, there were significant differences in the levels of ALT, AST and Alb between the two groups (P<0.05). In both groups, there were significant differences in the levels of HA, LN, PCIII and CIV between before and after treatment (P<0.05); after treatment, there were significant differences in all indexes between the two groups (P<0.05)  Conclusion: Combination of routine treatment and Chinese liver-protection exercises can improve the liver fibrosis following chronic hepatitis B, and prevent earlier cirrhosis.
