This paper explores the mechanism and clinical application of diaphoresis. Based on the related prescriptions in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases and Monographs on Warm Diseases, we researched the diaphoretic prescriptions and Zang-fu organs treated by diaphoresis. “Opening the pores, dredging the channel, regulating qi circulation and boosting healthy qi” are the key points of diaphoresis. The symptoms, administration, nursing, contradiction, treatment and cure were concluded, which supplies references for clinical application in clinic.
