Exploring operation and evolution of Laryngological Qin‑Na techniques in Shanghai area based on motion analysis
By applying motion analysis, this paper summarizes the core elements of Laryngological Qin-Na (grappling) techniques across various academic schools and explores their evolutionary relationship with ancient Daoyin, Anmo(Tuina), and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) traumatology manipulations. Comparative analysis reveals that the operation of Laryngological Qin-Na constitutes a comprehensive system centered on the Qin-Na principles of "fixation-counterforce" and "traction-control". Historically, these techniques can be traced back to the Daoyin of the pre-Qin period, having undergone an evolutionary process from self-Daoyin to assisted practice, and ultimately developing into medical Tuina.
