Cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK4/6) inhibitors such as abemaciclib, when combined with endocrine therapy, have become the first-line treatment for patients with hormone receptor-positive advanced breast cancer. However, abemaciclib often causes gastrointestinal toxicities and adverse effects, which significantly impair patients' quality of life. Therefore, this article explores the pathogenesis and progression of abemaciclib-associated diarrhea based on six-channel syndrome differentiation. Our analysis suggests that tailoring herbal formulas and treatments to specific stages of the disease can effectively alleviate diarrhea symptoms. A confirmed case is presented for reference.
