摘要:Professor Li Yan’s experience in the treatment of idiopathic edema is summarized. Professor Li believes that liver depression and blood stasis are the common pathogenesis of idiopathic edema, and the location of the disease is in the liver. The core pathogenesis is the disorder of water metabolism and the malfunction of the liver to dredge and discharge. The liver governs the discharge of qi, dredges the qi of the whole body, and is closely related to the spleen and kidney. Therefore, the treatment of idiopathic edema is mainly to sooth the liver, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. In addition, it should be complemented by invigorating the spleen, replenishing qi and eliminating phlegm, regulating and tonifying the kidney yin and kidney yang. The representative formula is modified Sini powder and Danggui Shaoyao powder. Two cases are attached for exemplification.

摘要:To summarize Professor Yang Wei’s clinical experience in treating high complex anal fistula. Professor Yang attaches great importance to syndrome differentiation, emphasizing the differentiation of degree of urgency and excess-deficiency pattern before the surgery. He proposes the loosing or cutting seton therapy in the surgery and the post-operative wound treatment and line-tightening timing are also valued. Professor Yang advocates the “sixteen character policy” as the diagnosis and treatment principle and outlines the unique pre-operative education concept as “three disadvantages, one risk and easy to recur”.

摘要:According to the relevant clauses in the “nineteen items of pathogenesis ” of Huangdi Neijing,“all sudden muscular spasm and rigidity are ascribed to wind”, “all vertigo and shaking due to wind are ascribed to the liver”, “all spasms and neck rigidity are ascribed to dampness”, “all dampness syndromes with swelling and fullness are ascribed to the spleen”, “all thin, clear and watery discharges are ascribed to cold”, and “all cold with contraction is ascribed to the kidney”. This article analyzes the relationship between these clauses and the clinical symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. It is recognized that the pathogenesis theory of “liver wind, spleen dampness, and kidney cold” should be fully considered to improve the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine on Parkinson’s disease.

摘要:The Kan hexagram and Li hexagram in The Book of Changes match with water and fire in the five elements, and kidney and heart in the five viscera. In The Book of Changes, under the normal circumstances, the Kan hexagram and Li hexagram are complementary to each other, the Kan hexagram is up and the Li hexagram is down, the yin and yang are intercourse and the water and fire are harmonization. In traditional Chinese medicine, the fire in heart descends to warm kidney yang, and the water in kidney ascends to nourish heart yin. Therefore, the heart and kidney are interacted, and yin and yang are balanced. Professor Fu Deyu often treats the heart disease by harmonizing the heart and kidney according to the theory of “Kan zhong man, Li zhong xu”, meanwhile emphasizes the application of Chinese medical classical prescription, which obtains good effects. This article introduces the clinical experience of Professor Fu Deyu in treating the heart disease and two proven cases are presented.

摘要:To interpret the differences and changes between the “TCM Diagnosis and Treatment Program for COVID-19 in Shanghai (Trial)” and the “Diagnosis and Treatment Program for COVID-19 (Trail, Fifth Edition)” issued by the National Health Commission. ①In the Shanghai program, the recovery period was listed separately, TCM intervention after the improvement of clinical symptoms of COVID-19 was emphasized, i.e., prevention in the period from initial recovery to complete recovery. ②According to the Shanghai program, TCM patterns in the clinical treatment period were adjusted, which were expressed as damp toxin stagnating the lung pattern, heat toxin blocking the lung pattern, and internal blocking causing collapse pattern; Based on the clinical characteristics of patients in Shanghai, the pathological factors of “heat” and “toxin” were highlighted. ③In the clinical treatment period, the prescription for damp toxin stagnating the lung pattern was modified based on pattern identification in the Shanghai program, i.e., “for patients with nausea and vomiting, add 3 g of Huanglian (coptis rhizoma) and 6 g of Suye (perillae folium)”, taking the effect of Suye Huanglian decoction. ④In the clinical treatment period, 9 g Jianghuang (curcuma longa) and 9 g Jiangcan (bombyx batryticatus) were added to the prescription for the heat toxin blocking the lung pattern to achieve the effect of Shengjiang powder. ⑤For the treatment of heat toxin blocking the lung pattern, Tanreqing injection was added to the Chinese patent medicine recommendation list as it met the core pathogenesis of “damp, heat and toxin” of COVID-19. ⑥In the recovery period, the pattern of dual deficiency of qi and yin was added due to the characteristics of tiredness, lack of tongue fluid, and virus carrying in respiratory tract and feces in patients after abatement of fever, and Shashen Maidong decoction was used as the main formula, supplemented by Zhuye Shigao decoction, Xiebai powder, Shengjiang powder and other prescriptions.

摘要:To discuss the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 based on the theory of febrile diseases. The theory of febrile diseases, derived from the accumulation of TCM classical theories and developed through the practice of plague prevention and treatment, has a systematic discussion on the etiology, pathogenesis, pattern identification and treatment of exogenous febrile diseases including virulent ones. It also has played an active role in the prevention and treatment of novel infectious diseases in China in recent years. “Warm-febrile diseases” and “plague” are interlinked. Plagues are mainly caused by heat toxin and epidemic pathogens, manifested as heat pattern and yang pattern, and can be treated according to the disease stages differentiated by “Wei-Qi-Ying-Xue or “Sanjiao” pattern identification methods, or treated with the prescriptions from famous ancient doctors such as Wu Youke and Pang Anshi, etc. These theories related to causes, mechanism, patterns and treatment may be helpful for the TCM diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. In addition, the lungs and large intestine form an exterior and interior relationship, and the gastrointestinal tract is also the place where SARS-CoV-2 invades or proliferates, it may be a way to reduce virus infection and lung inflammation in the body by adopting the TCM method of clearing heat and dredging the lower part to give pathogenic factors a way out from the bowels.

摘要:COVID-19 has broken out in Wuhan and spread rapidly to most provinces and cities in China since December 2019. It has caused serious damage to the lives of patients and Chinese society and economy. In order to prevent complications caused by long-term bed rest and lack of activity in patients with COVID-19, and to prevent the adverse effects on cardiopulmonary function and physical and mental state, as well as to promote the recovery of pulmonary function and improve the prognosis, the rehabilitation medical team from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, based on the existing COVID-19 related diagnosis and treatment program, and under the proposal and guidance of experts from Shanghai Public Health Clinical Centre who are responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 in the front line, put forward rehabilitation training guidance and suggestions for convalescent patients with mild and severe COVID-19. Patients with mild COVID-19 are recommended the health Qigong Yangfei exercise while patients with severe COVID-19 are recommended the bed rehabilitation training. It is hoped that this proposal will help the front line medical colleagues responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 in China so that they can give patients instructions according to their individual conditions and promote the early recovery of patients.

摘要:Based on the databases of Chinese Clinical Trial Registration Center and the American Clinical Trial Registration Center, the data related to the clinical trial registration of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was retrieved, and the registration units, research types and trial drugs were statistically analyzed to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of epidemic diseases with traditional Chinese medicine in the future.
摘要:The etiology, pathogenesis, clinical characteristics and therapeutic methods and prescriptions of the COVID-19 were analyzed based on the diagnosis and treatment experience of nearly 100 patients with COVID-19 in Shanghai. According to the characteristics of the disease, combined with the characteristics of the climate and residents’ physique in Shanghai, it is believed that COVID-19 belong to the category of “damp pestilence” in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The cause of the disease is the invasion of damp toxin and epidemic pathogens. The location of the disease mainly lies in the lungs, diffusing to the peuro-diaphragm and triple energizers. The key of the pathogenesis is that the damp toxin and epidemic pathogens attack the lungs, pathogens stagnated in the lungs transform into heat, and damp toxin and stagnation of heat are tangled up to diffuse to the peuro-diaphragm and triple energizers, transforming into dryness and consuming fluid, exhausting qi and impairing yin. For patients who are critically diseased, pathogens may go deeper into the nutrient-blood phase and heat pathogen may enter the pericardium. The treatment should take the principle of “eliminating pathogen” as the first priority, and the key treatment method is to disperse, drain and expel so as to give the pathogens of damp toxin a way out as soon as possible. At the early stage, it is necessary to resolve dampness and dispel turbidity, to diffuse and expel, and to disperse and drain. If the damp toxin stagnates and transforms into heat, clearing the stagnated heat should be considered as a complementary treatment method. If the damp toxin transforms into dryness and consumes body fluid, protecting fluid should be of great importance. At the middle stage, it is necessary to clear the lungs and purge the fire, diffuse the lungs and unblock the bowels, dredge the peuro-diaphragm and regulate the triple energizers, with the focus on dispelling damp toxin, clearing heat toxin and resolving stasis toxin, so as to stop the disease progress and protect yin and fluid in time. In the critical period, supportive treatment should be provided and formulas for opening obstruction and preventing desertion should be prescribed for severe cases. In the recovery period, attention should be paid to clear away residual pathogens, invigorate qi and nourish yin, as well as prevention and healthcare after initial recovery. TCM focuses on eliminating toxin and pathogens as early as possible (at the primary and middle stages) to stop the progress of COVID-19, improve the symptoms of patients, and facilitate the health care and recovery.

摘要:Combined with 4 cases, the pathogenesis, pattern identification and treatment characteristics of COVID-19 in Gansu region were analyzed. Based on the analysis, it is believed that COVID-19 is caused by the invasion of damp-heat toxic pathogens. The disease is located in the lungs, affecting triple energizers. It is easy to spread and change, and the pathological changes are in line with the changes of climatic and regional conditions. At the early stage, pathogenic factors are in the phase of defense-qi, which should be dispersed, expelled, cleared and resolved. If the onset of the disease is on the menstrual period, it is essential to resolve dampness, expel pathogenic factors and relieve the exterior first, and harmonize Shaoyang to prevent heat from entering the blood chamber influencing both the defense phase and qi phase. If dampness stagnates in the lung and the defense phase, it is appropriate to dissipate cold and disperse dampness, clear heat and relieve sore throat. Jianpi Huashi Qingre decoction should be taken after initial recovery until residual pathogens are eliminated completely.

摘要:To investigate the “way out for the evil” method recorded in the Treatise on Cold-Induced Diseases by analyzing the methods of diaphoresis, vomiting and purgation, etc. As a way to expel pathogenic evils, the “way out for the evil” method can drive the visible or invisible evil out of human body from the exterior, interior, anterior, posterior and collaterals. Once the pathogenic evil is expelled, the healthy qi can be preserved. One case is exemplified.

Cisplatin(density-dependent phosphoprotein, DDP) solution(0.1 mg/d) was injected intraperitoneally for 3 days in the chemotherapy group and traditional Chinese medicine group, and same volume of saline was injected intraperitoneally for 3 days in the tumor-bearing group. From the first day,the traditional Chinese medicine group was given JPGCR 0.6 mL/d by gavage. The Tumor bearing group and chemotherapy group were given same volume of saline daily. Samples were taken from the 18 mice after 21 days of intervention. The body weight, tumor weight, number of lung metastases in the three groups of mice were taken. Intestinal flora of mice was measured by Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx,and the levels of Th17 and Treg cell-related transcription factor RORγt and Foxp3 in small intestinal lymphoid tissue of mice were analyzed by RT-PCR. Results:The general condition and body weight of mice in the JPGCR group were better than those of the chemotherapy group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). The anti-tumor rate and inhibition rate of lung metastasis of mice in the JPGCR group were better than those in the chemotherapy group(P<0.05). Compared with the chemotherapy group, the intestinal flora diversity index Chao1 and Shannon of mice in the JPGCR group were increased significantly(P<0.01). Compared with the chemotherapy group, the intestinal immune index FoxP3 and RORγt of mice in the JPGCR group were decreased significantly(P<0.05). Conclusion:JPGCR can inhibit the invasion and metastasis of lung cancer cells in mice by increasing the diversity of intestinal flora, improving intestinal flora, regulating the balance of Th17/Treg cells in intestine of lung cancer mice, maintaining the balance of intestinal immunity and improving the body immunity.
摘要:This paper reviews the latest research progress in the treatment of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury(MIRI)by regulating micro ribonucleic acid(miRNA)as a target with traditional Chinese medicine monomer(ginsenoside 1, apigenin, salvianolic acid B, luteolin), compound prescription(Yiqi Huoxue compound, Tongxinluo)and acupuncture[electroacupuncture pretreatment, needling neiguan(PC6) point by electroacupuncture, needling neiguan(PC6) point in both sides by electroacupuncture in vivo and microcurrent pretreatment in vitro], which provides an entry point for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury and related prognosis intervention.
