Zhu Shengliang's experience in treatment of spleen and stomach disorders with medicinal paste based on "Tonghua Xuanping" theory
Spleen and stomach disorders are primarily characterized by deficiency syndromes and mixed deficiency-excess syndromes. The treatment principle focuses on using medicinal pastes (Gaofang) to dispel diseases and correct pathological deviations. Professor Zhu Shengliang, based on the theoretical system of the "Tonghua Xuanping" (unblocking, transforming, dispersing, and harmonizing) for diagnosing and treating spleen and stomach diseases, follows a diagnostic and therapeutic axis of "identifying the main syndrome – analyzing pathogenesis – establishing formula syndrome" and adopts the principle of "holistic adherence with flexible adaptation" in clinical practice. The application of medicinal pastes under this theoretical system has demonstrated consistent efficacy in treating spleen and stomach disorders. One clinical case is presented for reference.
