Explanation of "ocular diagnosis to identify ovarian condition" theory based on bulbar conjunctival microcirculation and preliminary exploration of macroscopic and microscopic perspectives in syndrome differentiation
The essential qi of internal organs ascends and is transmitted to the eyes, while the five organs work synergistically to transform and generate blood, moistening and nourishing both the eyes and the ovaries. There exists a close relationship between the ovaries and the eyes in terms of organ function and meridian pathways. The bulbar conjunctival microcirculation, also known as the vascular network of the white part of the eye, is a key component in ocular inspection and forms the basis of the Bakuo (Eight-Zone) Theory. Based on the bulbar conjunctival microcirculation, we explore its relationship with the ovaries and eye diseases, offering a more scientific and modern interpretation of You's "ocular diagnosis to identify ovarian condition" theory. Furthermore, we propose a syndrome differentiation approach that integrates both macroscopic and microscopic perspectives, aiming to provide new insights and directions for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), while further enriching the content of TCM differentiation and advancing the modernization of TCM.
