Exploring feasibility of applying eyes movement technology in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation for psycho‑cardiological diseases based on theory of "eyes are messenger of the heart"
Based on the theoretical connotation of "eyes are the messenger of the heart" in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and by integrating the etiology and pathogenesis of psycho-cardiovascular diseases, this paper elucidates the principles and advantages of eyes movement technology. It further explores the feasibility of applying eyes movement technology in TCM syndrome differentiation for psycho-cardiovascular diseases. It can provide objective evidence for TCM syndrome differentiation of psycho-cardiovascular diseases; it has the potential to unveil the psychological states of cardiovascular disease patients at an early stage, thereby preventing the onset of psycho-cardiovascular diseases; it can evaluate clinical efficacy and facilitate the formulation of personalized treatment plans. Moreover, it can propel the process of objectification and standardization in the TCM diagnostic approach for syndrome differentiation of psycho-cardiovascular diseases.
