Jiang Quan's clinical experience in treating rheumatic and immune diseases complicated by pregnancy
This paper introduces Professor Jiang Quan's clinical experience in treating rheumatic and immune diseases complicated by pregnancy using traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The treatment approach focuses on maintaining stability and supporting pregnancy and childbirth. Key strategies include distinguishing between urgent and chronic conditions, treating based on disease stages, adhering to disease pathogenesis, combining disease identification with syndrome differentiation, combining individualized and holistic treatment, and flexible prescripting based on the symptoms. The main principle of treatment is to both eliminate pathogenic factors and strengthen the body's constitution. The goal is to expel pathogenic factors, prevent disease progression, nourish the body, and secure the pregnancy. Therefore, medications are selected with care to avoid harming the fetus by using medications with strong or potent properties, helping patients safely go through the pregnancy period. A proven case is provided for reference.
