Advances in pharmacological effects of baicalin on colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is one of the common digestive tract tumors. At present, surgical treatment occupies the main position in the clinical treatment, but the therapeutic effect is not good because it is easy to lead to tumor recurrence, invasion and metastasis, and with serious toxic and side effects. Baicalin is an important active ingredient extracted from Scutellariae Radix. It has significant biological activity and has pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammation, anti-thrombosis, relieving asthma, anti-cancer, lowering glucose and so on. By combing and summarizing the relevant literatures, it is found that the pharmacological studies of baicalin against colorectal cancer are mainly focused on the regulation of cancer cell proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and metastasis, differentiation and so on, which may provide reference for the prevention and clinical application of baicalin in colorectal cancer.
