Liu Guobin's clinical application of Wenyang Tongluo method for differentiated treatment of diabetic foot
Professor Liu Guobin's clinical experience in using the Wenyang Tongluo method (warming yang and unblocking collaterals) to treat diabetic foot is introduced. It is thought that diabetic foot commonly results from long-term diabetes, which leads to yang deficiency, and blood stasis and stagnation. The fundamental pathological condition is characterized by dual deficiency of yin and yang, with blood stasis and cold coagulation as the branch symptoms. The key to the pathogenesis lies in qi deficiency, blood stasis, and inadequate distribution of yang qi. Treatment focuses on warming yang and supplementing qi, activating blood, resolving stasis and unblocking collaterals. The primary prescription involves modification and syndrome differentiation based on Wenyang Tongluo Formula. A proven case is also included.
