Deconstructing action mechanisms of wind medicines in Shengyang Sanhuo Decoction based on Xuanfu theory
This paper discusses the principal pathological mechanisms targeted by Shengyang Sanhuo Decoction and the compatibility features of the wind medicines within the formula based on Xuanfu theory. By integrating the concept of "Tong" from Xuanfu theory with the properties of wind medicines, it comprehensively discusses the action mechanisms of wind medicines in five key aspects: dispersing Xuanfu to ascend yang, dredging Xuanfu to facilitate smooth movement, opening Xuanfu to remove stagnation, relieving Xuanfu to dissipate fire, and regulating Xuanfu to store qi. The aim is to deepen the understanding of Li Dongyuan's concept and provide theoretical insights for clinical practice.
